New Drew Struzan movie poster art book
For the holidays, Titan Books sent us a copy of their new Drew Struzan: Oeuvre book about the movie poster illustrator. Featuring the artwork of Drew Struzan and text written by his wife Dylan Struzan, the book is actually a new updated version of a previous 2004 out-of-print release of his Oeuvre book. This new volume (which acts as a follow-up to last year’s The Art of Drew Struzan book) features some of Struzan’s most recent work, including poster illustrations for The Walking Dead, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls and Cowboys & Aliens.
Drew Struzan has created some of the most iconic movie poster images of the last 30 years, from Raiders of the Lost Ark to Star Wars: Episode III. This sumptuous hardcover edition, with an Introduction by George Lucas, features over 250 pieces of art, including all of Drew Struzan’s most iconic movie images, as well as other highlights of his career, from album, book and comic book covers, to stamps, trading cards and original works.
Compared to previous Drew Struzan illustration books, Drew Struzan: Oeuvre is the most up-to-date and complete catalog of Struzan’s body of work — the volume features his illustrations for music, publishing, and personal pieces in addition to the one-sheet movie poster art so many are familiar with.
