Hidden Message in Movie Theater Lobby Posters
Finding hidden messages and then labeling it as subliminal advertising has a long history in our culture. Hidden images and messages have also appeared in movie posters (some being obvious and not-so-obvious) as well.
Hidden Message in movie theatre lobby movie posters
Apparently the staff of a Galaxy movie theatre (or someone with Photoshop) took it upon themselves to stage three teaser posters in just the right order (Superman Returns, Eragon, and X-Men: The Last Stand for a “sexy” combination) in this hidden message vein.

Those movies weren’t released anywhere close to each other. Unless Galaxy movie theater is a chain that shows older films?

I don’t get it. Seen it many times before. Still don’t get it.

Well, all three movies were released in the U.S. in 2006, correct?
Given a 6-12 month possible window of time for advance/teaser posters to appear in theatres, I suppose it is possible for a theater to have these three movie posters on hand at the same time. But since we could never find the original source of this photo, it’s best to assume, as Nicholas has, this was staged (via Photoshop, for example).
Basically it’s just an excuse to talk about subliminal messages. ;)

While it’s possibly photoshop, it’s not unlikely that somebody saw opportunity knocking and set the posters there for real. I would.

I’m always interested in the way that they group posters at the theater I go to. There’s always a common theme in the coupling. Two big giant heads, to spare teasers, two white background comedy posters, etc. The fact that someone’s spending that much time going through and placing the posters only angers me more when the movie is mis-framed and out of focus after it was delayed twenty minutes.

Not poster related, but this reminds me of the time I saw a marquee line for The Firm and Free Willy abbreviated to Firm Willy.
